PortMiami to MIA

Off the ship and onto your flight, without the taxi line

8 miles15-25 minutesFixed fare from $89

Disembarkation morning at PortMiami is organized chaos: thousands of passengers, luggage carts, customs lines, and a taxi queue that can swallow 45 minutes of your morning. Booking your ride in advance means your driver is already assigned to your terminal, tracking your ship, and waiting when you clear the gangway area with your bags.

Ships typically start letting passengers off between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, with self-assist walk-offs first and tagged-luggage groups following in waves. Customs at PortMiami now uses facial recognition for most passengers, so many travelers are outside within 20 to 30 minutes of leaving the ship. From the terminal curb, MIA is 8 miles west, a 15 to 25 minute drive against the inbound cruise traffic.

How early a flight can you make? Our working rule: domestic flights from 11:30 AM onward are comfortable with a normal walk-off; flights between 10:30 and 11:30 AM are possible with self-assist disembarkation (carry your own bags, be in the first group off); anything earlier is a gamble we will honestly advise against. International departures should add another hour. When you book, tell us your ship and flight time and we will suggest a realistic pickup window.

Your fixed fare from $89 includes waiting time, so if the customs line moves slowly, your driver stays and your price does not change. One booking covers up to a Sprinter-load of fourteen if your whole cruise group is flying out together.
