MIA to Royal Caribbean Terminal A

To the Crown of Miami for your Royal Caribbean sailing

8 miles15-20 minutesFixed fare from $89

Terminal A, the glass-and-steel building Royal Caribbean calls the Crown of Miami, anchors the north side of PortMiami and handles some of the largest cruise ships on earth. If you are boarding an Oasis-class or Icon-class giant, this is almost certainly where you are headed, and the ride from MIA is mercifully short: 8 miles along SR-836 and Port Boulevard, usually 15 to 20 minutes door to door.

Terminal A was built to process more than 5,000 passengers at a time, and Royal Caribbean runs it on staggered check-in windows you select in the app. The building works best when you arrive inside your window; arrive hours early and you will wait in the pre-boarding hall. Our advice: if your flight lands well before your window, a relaxed lunch airside at MIA beats a plastic chair at the port, and your driver will simply meet you when you are ready. Waiting time on your booking is free for 30 minutes after the car is scheduled (60 on international arrivals).

The fixed fare from $89 includes the arrivals-hall meet and greet, flight tracking that shifts your pickup automatically if the plane is late, tolls, and airport parking. Drop-off is at the Terminal A vehicle plaza, steps from the porter stands where your checked luggage disappears until it shows up outside your stateroom.

Note that Royal Caribbean occasionally positions smaller ships at other PortMiami berths, and its Fort Lauderdale sailings use Terminals 18 and 25 at Port Everglades, which we also serve. Tell us the ship name and sail date and we will confirm the right building before your driver rolls.
